SALESFORCE INTERVIEW TIPS
This post gives general guidelines/tips on how to
prepare for Interviews. This is not limited only to Salesforce; this is useful for any type of Technical Interviews.
Preparation
It is extremely important that you prepare yourself well for
Technical Interview.
- Invest at least 1-2 hours of your time to understand the job description and the role expectations. Makes notes about how you can justify the role.
- Visit the Company's website and learn about the product and domain.
- Find out about the customer's customers, and why they use their product.
- Visit online Interview preparing sites like Indiabix or Glassdoor and check the company's previous Interview Questions and experiences of the candidates.
- Visit the discussion forums on the customer's website to understand the common problems related to the product.
- Try taking mock interviews of yourself with your friend or in front of the mirror.
- If it would be a Telephonic Interview, try taking it from home where there is very little outside/family noise or if you are in office, book a small conference room for telephonic interview.
- Keep a pen and paper ready with you.
During the interview
- Be confident.
- Don't lie in your resume and in front of the Interviewer.
- Be upfront about what you don't know, but show the enthusiasm and confidence that you are keen to learn the tools and technologies required for the project.
- Listen to the question carefully, and answer to the point. Don't interrupt the Interviewer.
- If you don't understand the question, don't baffle, request the interviewer to repeat the question.
- Give real-life examples or try to simplify your answers.
- Give examples of your earlier projects or POC where you faced similar challenges and how you solved them.
